NASA's Quest: Streamlining Martian Sample Return Missions

The US space agency NASA is targeting cheaper and less complicated ways to bring samples from the red planet that it collected there two years ago to Earth as one of its future priorities and within a currently limited budget. Agency officials indicated last Monday that the next mission aims to bring samples of precious Martian soil. NASA executives seek to inform all of the agency's centers and laboratories, as well as space industry companies, about the mission's objectives and technical features in the upcoming space program within the minimum expenditure. The agency's assistant director, Nikki Fox, said that
